The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine has supported Gambia Goat Dairy since its inception by providing valuable advisory services through both its extensive alumni network and its Center for Animal Health and Productivity (CAHP). Learn more about PennVet here.


 

The University of Pennsylvania's PennGlobal program provides students from The University of Pennsylvania with international experience through a variety of internship programs. This funding has so far supported the travel of four veterinary students and two undergraduate students to The Gambia for eight weeks each, with ongoing relationships to support more students going forward.

Power Up Gambia is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit with the goal of providing Gambian healthcare institutions with sustainable solar energy systems. Power Up Gambia has extensive in-country experience in The Gambia and provided valuable advisory services during Gambia Goat Dairy's feasibility assessment and throughout the project's implementation.
